Q:

Is Sculptra a safe injectible for the buttocks? Costs?

A:

Hello and thank you for posting.

Sculptra has been approved for over a decade now and has a proven safety profile for facial injections. It has also been used off label as a means to treat cellulite and also for buttock enhancement.
The major challenge with using Sculptra for buttock enhancement is that it takes a lot of product, it’s expensive, and the overall results are modest. We have been using between 15 and 40 vials per patient to achieve conservative, but meaningful results. We have not seen any significant adverse effects in our patients.

The costs range between $7500 to $20,000 and this of course depends on how many vials are needed. The results should last for 2 to 3 years based on the results that one sees with Sculptra for facial volume reflation.

I hope this information helps and good luck.

The question that I would ask you is what are you hoping to achieve? Your results look amazing. I would be hard pressed to find an area to add more volume. I go along with the opinion of your surgeon – squats.

Good luck!
